Caulking & Sealants
Caulking is important!
A sub-par caulking job will make any project look bad. We use a gun-grade polyurethane sealant in the joint above the tile. When sealing expansion joints in a pool deck, we use a self-leveling, elastomeric polyurethane sealant that is mixed and poured in place. When cured, it forms a tough, resilient joint seal that resists penetration and abrasion and remains flexible when exposed to weather and aging. It’s not an easy product to work with, but after installing it on so many miles of expansion joint, we are pretty good at it!
